One of the most anticipated Kollywood films of the year 2022 thalapathy Vijay starrer Beast graced the theatres on 13 April 2022, read on to know the reviews, screen counts, and the day 1 box office collection.
The highly buzzed action comedy had made much anticipation among the cinephiles through the songs, trailers, and the collab of Thalapthy and the hit filmmaker Nelson.
But the Nelson directorial seems didn’t emanate what was expected from his action-comedy flick as the film is receiving mixed to negative responses from the critics as well as the fans.
Beast Reviews
Times of India gave the film 2.5 out of 5 stars, Mirchi 9 1.75/5 stars, and India Today gave 2.5/5 stars, panning the script by calling it predictable, critics also bashed the climax of the film, however, they praised Vijay’s performance and the music of Anirudh Ravichander, in particular, Halamithi Habibo and Johnny Gymkhana.
Drawbacks
The first half of the film is average followed by the dull second half and the boring climax which will even dampen the enthusiasm of hardcore Vijay fans.

The highlights are the comedy scenes, the action in parts, and the performance of Vijay who carry the burden of poor screenplay solely on his shoulder throughout the film.

Beast, releases in theatres in five Indian languages original version in Tamil and the dubbed versions in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. The Hindi version title is RAW.
The film was released on around 5000 screens, with most, home market Tamil Nadu 800 theatres, it is being screened in over 500 theatres in Andhra Pradesh/Telangana region and 600 to 700 theatres in the Hindi Belt.

Box Office Collection Worldwide
After BO Tamilnadu the film raked in most from the Telugu-speaking states (Rs 8.50 Cr), followed by Kerala (Rs 6.65 Cr), in the Hindi belt the film poorly performed owing to no promotions and marketing. Thalapathy’s latest outing collected Rs 24 Cr from the overseas market.
Now, Beast has become the highest opening day film in Vijay’s career, grossing Rs 86.15 Cr worldwide, Sarkar had collected Rs 67 Cr, followed by Bigil Rs 62.85 Cr. Beast needs over Rs 240 Cr+ Gross business worldwide to cross the Break even mark.
