Thalapathy Vijay starrer after churning out, a record-breaking collection on the opening day is now all geared up for the exciting opening weekend.
Despite the film being released on a weekday it managed to break Vijay’s own record of Sarkar Rs 32 crores. Beast minted Rs 36 Cr+ on opening day in Tamil Nadu.
Beast was opened with negative reviews by the critics who bashed the script and the screenplay of the film, it got mostly negative reviews with an average rating of 2.5 out of 5 stars.
It marks the third film of the director Nelson Dilipkumar who earlier helmed two superhit films Kolamu Kokila and Doctor. Nelson will next be collaborating with the superstar Rajinikanth on his 169th outing, it is currently in the pre-production phase.
Box Office Collection Day 2
Talking about Day 2, Vijay starrer saw a decrease on Thursday in the footfalls compared to day 1, Thalapathy 65 collect around Rs 20 Cr on the second day from the home market.
Beast minted Rs 9 Crs from the overseas market and Rs 33.70 Cr gross at the BO worldwide, making the total collection Rs 119.85 Cr gross. Thalapathy 65 now officially enters into the Rs 100 Cr club.

We can expect some growth on the last two days (Sat-Sun) of the first weekend. It needs around Rs 120 Cr more to cross the Break-even point.
Box Office Collection Day 1
However, Thalapathy 65th had collected around Rs 85 Cr worldwide on the opening day with most Rs 36 Cr from the home market, became the highest opening day grosser film in his career.
It grosses Rs 8.13 Cr(Rs 6.88 Cr nett) at the box office Karnataka, Rs 8.50 from Telugu-speaking states, and Rs 5.80 Cr from the U.S market, Singapore Rs 1.8 Cr, and Australia Rs 1.6 cr approx.

Beast is directed and written by Nelson Dilipkumar, the action flick is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures. It stars Vijay and Pooja Hegde in the main lead role as Veera and Preethi respectively, Selvaraghavan is playing the antagonist in the film, and Shina Tom Chacko, Yogi Babu in pivotal roles.
