The American-British actress, comedian, and filmmaker Pamela Adlon is back with season five of her American comedy-drama series Better Things.
The series was created for the American television channel FX, which gave 10 episode order of its first season on August 7, 2015, and it premiered on September 8, 2016.
The series has already given it four successful seasons and was praised for a great story that highlights the role of a woman and how they have the ability to do everything on their own despite lots of difficulties.

Better Things Season 5 OTT Release Date & Production
This series was renewed for its fifth season in May 2021 and the announcement regarding this being the last one of the franchise was made in October 2021.
This most-anticipated season is going to be released on Monday,28th February 2022. It will have the OTT streaming on America’s most popular streaming giant Hulu.
Earlier, the fourth installment of the franchise premiered on March 5, 2020. All the seasons consist of 10 episodes each with a run-time of around 22-minutes except Season 3, which comprises 12 episodes.

Better Things Season 5 Star Cast
The series is said to be a semi-autobiography based on the life of lead actress and creator Pamela Adlon played as Sam Fox, an actress who has raised her three daughters on her own in Los Angeles.
Along with Pamela, these have also played the key roles in the series:
- Mikey Madison as the oldest daughter of Sam Max Fox, who is portrayed as volatile, angry but essentially decent
- Hannah Alligood as Sam’s strong-willed middle daughter Frankie Fox
- Olivia Edward as Sam’s adorable and sweet-hearted youngest daughter Duke Fox
- Celia Imrie as Sam’s British mother with some looming physical and mental issues Phyllis Darby/Phil
- Diedrich Bader as a gay and Sam’s best friend Rich
- Alysia Reiner as Sam’s newly divorced best friend Sunny

Better Things Season 5 Makers
Pamela Adlon created the first two seasons of the series in association with Louis C.K., with whom all the deals were canceled by FX as the sexual misconduct allegations against him were proved to be true.
Later Adlon also fired the manager of production company 3 Arts Entertainment, as her manager. Therefore, Louis’s Pig Newton and 3 Arts are no longer the co-producer of the series after season 2.
Pamela who is the lead actor, executive producer of the series has directed all the episodes of Season 5 while editing work in the series is handled by Debra F. Simone.
