Anees Bazmee’s horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is performing amazingly well at the box office, the film has revived the hope of the dying industry, which faced back-to-back flops of biggies in the past few months.
The audience seems to enjoy Kartik’s Rooh Baba character in the film, audience is praising BB2 for the performance of the main leads especially Kartik Aaryan and the veteran actor Tabu, her role Manjulika Chatterjee has received the widespread acclamation from the critics, and the cinephiles alike.
Other than the performances, climax, and songs ( esp. title track), a fresh story with the same concept seems to win the audience’s heart. The film has already joined the 100 Cr club and is currently the third highest-grossing Hindi film of the year worldwide with Rs 181.02 Cr collections.
Kartik’s latest outing has shown astounding figures on the last two days of the second weekend, minting Rs 11.3 Cr and Rs 12.8 Cr on days 9 & 10 respectively, it churned out Rs 30.64 Cr on the second weekend. It performed well on Sunday despite, there was the IPL final the film still saw growth.
Going by the trends, the performance of the film will remain decent on the weekdays too as there is still the buzz among the cinephiles for Kartik starrer.
As per the recent report, it accumulated Rs 5.5 crores on day 11, taking the total collections to Rs 128.4 crores in the domestic market.
Earlier, trade analysts had been saying that the film would see the lifetime collections of around Rs 150 Cr nett, now the lifetime bizz of the film is being expected to cross the Rs 175 Cr mark.
