The long-awaited film of Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, “Bimbisara” has been released in cinemas, it was opened with positive reviews from the critics and saw a blockbuster start coming in on its first day at box office.
Bimbisara is the vision of Mallidi Vashisht, it is produced by Hari Krishna K under N.T.R Arts and marks Vashisht’s first directorial venture. Along with Kalyan Ram who is essaying the titular role (Bimbisara) and his current era avatar, it has Catherine Tresa, Samyuktha Menon, Warina Hussain, Vennela Kishore, Prakash Raj, Sai Kiran, Brahmaji and Srinivas Reddy in key roles.
Box Office Collection Day 1
The film had very good advanced bookings and a positive buzz ahead of the film and as expected it opened with a flying start at the box office. Going by the Telugu trade reports, it accumulates Rs 6.30 Cr hires (Rs 9.30 Cr gross) on Day 1 (Friday) with Rs 46L hires at the box office Telugu. With this, it has become the best opening day for the actor Kalyan Ram’s career beating his previous career best 2016 film ‘Ism’ Rs 3.09 Cr share collections. The break-even target for Ram led is Rs 14 Cr in Telugu-speaking states.

As per Sacnilk.com, Kalyan Ram fronted has collected Rs 1.55 Cr gross for the 1st day. It has occupied around 685 theatres in AP-TG and is releasing over 975 theatres worldwide. Bimbisara has minted 60K dollars from the USA premieres till 9 pm Thursday PST (10 am Friday IST).
