Black Crab is an upcoming most-awaited Swedish action thriller movie that is going to release in the next month.
It is based on Swedish writer Jerker Virdborg’s thriller novel of the same name and the story of the film is set in a post-apocalyptic world torn apart by war as well as climate change.
The film marks its lead actress and BAFTA award nominee Noomi Rapace’s comeback in the Swedish film industry after 2010’s drama film Beyond, directed by Pernilla August.
Noomi is best known for her role as Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish film adaptations of the novels Millenium series: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest.
Black Crab Release Date
This highly-anticipated action thriller drama movie is going to be released on OTT streaming giant Netflix on March 18, 2022.
With the release date of the movie, Netflix also launched the poster with the Tagline “Hope burns Brightest in the Cold” featuring Noomi Rapace as a soldier holding a gun.

Black Crab Star Cast and Makers
Noomi Rapace is playing a skater-turned-soldier Caroline Edh in the movie. It is not the first time Noomi is collaborating with Netflix for any movie.
Earlier she also worked in 2017’s fantasy film Bright, science-fiction What Happened to Monday and action thriller Close.

The film is directed by Adam Berg, who is a music video director and with the film, he is making his directorial debut in the feature film. He also co-wrote the screenplay with Pelle Radstrom.
The film is bankrolled by Malin Idevall, Mattias Montero, and lead actress Noomi Rapace. Christopher Granier-Deferre, Emil Wiklund, and Kim Magnusson are serving as executive producers.

The trailer of this most-awaited war action drama was released on Tuesday, 22nd February 2022. The 2-minute long trailer looks promising and it was released by the official social media handle and Youtube channel of Netflix.
The trailer gives us a glimpse of a post-apocalyptic world, destroyed by war and natural calamities and features Noomi Rapace as a speed skater-turned-soldier who is on a mission to save her daughter as well as end the war.
The six members’ team headed by Noomi is on a covert mission, which is labeled as a “suicide mission” in the trailer, traveling across a frozen archipelago, risking their lives to transport a mysterious package that could end a war.
