Chitrakut is an upcoming Hindi romantic film which is written as well as directed by actor-turned-director Himanshu Malik, who is best known for appearing in Anubhav Sinha’s directorial 2001 romantic drama film Tum Bin along with Jungle (2000), Khwahish (2003) and Rog (2005).
The film is produced by Akbar Arabiyan in association with its director Himanshu Malik while Mehdi Gulzar and award winning filmmaker Stacey Marbrey are the co-producers of the film. Aditya Krishna and Aida Arabian are serving as the executive producers.
Chitrakut is being presented by its producer Akbar Arabiyan and “Mojdeh and Mojtaba Movies”, Pictograph Studios is its associate producer. The Film’s soundtrack and score are composed by Somesh Saha, when it comes to the technical work, Cinematography is handled by Hardeep Sachdev and editing is done by Pryas Gupta. Vijay Kadali is handling the art department.
Chitrakut Release Date
The makers have already released the official release date of this most awaited movie. It is now confirmed that the film will be released on May 20, 2022. It will be distributed by Shiladitya Bora’s recently launched distribution outfit Platoon Distribution.

About the film
The film is a tale of five people and their journey towards changes. It will depict how the ups and downs in the relationships of these youngsters change everything. Himanshu Malik who is making his directorial debut with this film tells a media house that it is a simple story of finding love and losing it.
He further added that Chitrakut is the place where Ram and Sita spent their initial years of banishment, in some texts they are shown to have had live in bliss of each other, never after their stay in Chitrakut- since their bond was broken after her abduction, never before- since he was son, king, brother in Ayodhya. This metaphor of life and love became the basis of the film.

The trailer has been unveiled by the makers on May 6th, the two and half minute trailer shows love in three ways Joy, loss, and light. It tells the story of 5 individuals, the makers describe the film as “five lives, five journeys of love, 5 transformations and 1 Film!” Here watch the trailer below, it is being well received by the viewers, especially the song Maan Le by Arijit.

On April 25, 2022, the official Youtube channel of Sony Music India released the first romantic track of the film, titled Maan Le. This melodious song has the beautiful voice of the acclaimed singer of this generation Arijit Singh and it is composed by Somesh Saha who has also penned its lyrics along with Divya Unny.
