Cirkus Advance Bookings Report
The advance bookings report of Cirkus was opened on Sat, Dec 17 one week before the release. The response in the pre-sales is slow, so far. Cirkus has accumulated only 1Cr from the ticket sales for the opening day, as of Dec 21, Wed night.
It has sold an overall 35000 tickets for day 1 out of which the three main properties PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis have sold around 14,000 tickets. The full-fledged advance bookings have been opened for Cirkus from Wed onwards.
And now with one day left, it is expected to score an advance similar to Shamshera and Prithviraj in terms of ticket sales. However, the earnings would be higher than the two films due to higher rates of tickets.
Cirkus Screen Counts and Budget
Cirkus is made on an estimated budget of 70 crores, it has occupied over 3200 screens with 10,000 shows in the domestic market. Rohit’s past releases, Sooryavanshi were released on 3500+ screens (pandemic release) while Simmba 4000 Screens in India. The decrease in screen counts is due to the Avatar 2 craze in India which was released on 3800 screens, here.
Cirkus Box Office Prediction
Going by the budget, Cirkus will have to earn in the range of 100-120 crore nett at the box office in India to become a successful venture in terms of business. Rohit Shetty hasn’t seen a below 20 Cr start since Bol Bachchan (2012). His last film, Sooryavnashi which was released during the pandemic times, opened with 26.29 Cr in India and went on to become a blockbuster.
Now, the expectation from the Cirkus is to continue the hit trend of Rohit Shetty. Cirkus will have good spot bookings on day 1 due to the Rohit Shetty factor despite low advances. As per the early estimations, Cirkus will collect in the range of 12-15 Cr in India, laying a platform for the film to grow, rest will depend on the film’s content.
