Mohit Suri’s film “Ek Villain Returns” after a decent first Monday is now eying for a Rs 50 Cr lifetime, the psychological thriller continues to hold well at the single screens in the mass pockets.
The film was opened with negative reviews from the critics however positive feedback from the audience shows that it isn’t as bad as reviews had suggested initially. The total collection of the film so far stands at Rs 26.54 crores nett.
The 1st week will be crucial
John-Arjun starrer on the first Monday have come down in the multiplexes which resulted in the heavy decline in the collections. It now needs to collect around Rs 8-10 crores in the remaining three days for a decent first week.

The film will then eye for Rs 50 crore lifetime, the good thing is, it has an open week until Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan arrive on Aug 11. However, the said films cater to the multiplex audience and might not harm the biz of EVR. The real competitor for the latter will be Liger which will release on 25 Aug 2022.
Box Office Collection Day 5
EVR needs to sustain at the low levels, it will get the benefit of Moharram on its second Monday which will help the bizz grow by 1-2 crore. As per the trade estimates, it earned Rs 2.7 Cr on Tuesday to take the total collections in the vicinity of Rs 29 crores. It needs to show consistency through the weekdays as it can’t afford a drop now.
