Directed and written by Manu Anand and produced by Aryan Ramesh and Shubhra, holding the banner of VV Studioz, this Tamil film is an action thriller, with music composed by Ashwath and edited by Prasanna GK. the cinematography has been handled by Kirumi-fame Arul Vincent.

F.I.R. Star Cast

The film features Vishnu Vishal playing the lead role of Irfan Ahmed and Manjima Mohan playing the female lead, while Gautham Vasudev Menon, Reba Monica John, Gaurav Narayanan, Raiza, Wilson, and Prashanth Rangaswamy are also seen playing pivotal roles in the movie.

Abu Bakker Abdulla is a Muslim man, who is the most wanted man in India by the cops right now, and Gautham Menon plays the role of a cop who is on his hunt. So this film is a typical thief-cop action movie, with innumerable scenes of power-packed action sequences.

F.I.R. Poster

The first official poster of the film was shared by the makers of the film in Nov 2021, where we see Vishnu Vishal masked in the poster with India’s map in the background with news of terrorism all over.

The second poster was even more interesting with Vishnu Vishal tied up which signifies that he’s captivated with the exact same background of India’s map with terrorism news behind him.

F.I.R. Release Date

Though the film was to be released in a grand manner theatrically, due to the ongoing pandemic Covid-19, the makers of the film have been speculated to release it on OTT platforms. Actor Vishnu Vishal shut down the speculations, revealed the new release date.

Although this news has been debunked by the director himself saying that they are trying to have a theatrical release of the grand film somewhere next year! The shooting of the film was completed earlier in February 2021.

Now the film is confirmed to release on 11 Feb 2022 in theaters:

F.I.R. Teaser and Trailer

The teaser shared by the filmmakers shows a clear picture of the background of the movie with Abu Bakkar Abdullah being hunted by the cops while we see Abdul’s character in a completely negative role who prays five times a day but by the end of the trailer says “ if someone prays five times a day, doesn’t mean he is a religious extremist”.
