Prominent Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone starrer Gehraiyaan premiered in giant over-the-top platform Amazon Prime Video on 10 Feb 2022. The film deals with the complex relationship of contemporary times.
Gehraiyaan is directed by Shakun Batra who is known to make movies on such subjects, the film revolves around three characters Alisha Khanna, Zain, and Tia Khanna, portrayed by DP, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Ananya Panday.
As per twitter reviews, the film is getting mixed responses. It is being praised for the fresh concept but got bashed for the want of good writing.
India Today gave 3.5 out of 5 stars, NDTV 2/5, Zee News 3/5 and Pinkvilla 4/5, critics praised the performances of the main leads especially Deepika and bashed the poor writing which finds itself in predicament.

Makers released Gehraiyaan on the digital platform as the film has some intimate scenes whereby makers were in fear that the censor board, could ask to delete those scenes. Hence, resulted in the premiere on the OTT platform.
However, Gehrahiyaan premiered on Amazon Prime on Thursday and within a few hours, the film got leaked on various notorious sites like Tamilrockerzz, Movierulezz, etc, that too in full Hd print.
Reportedly the film became the latest victim of these pirated sites, earlier films like Pushpa, Thalaivi, Bell Bottom also got leaked on these sites.
Gehrahiyaan is Deepika’s digital debut film and is said that it could amass many viewers on the platform, but the sudden leak of the film can now affect the viewership of the over-the-top platform.
We will request the viewers that do not fall prey to these pirated sites as the film is already available on the digital platform and it doesn’t make any sense to watch from these notorious sites.
Watching movies from the third-party platform is also illegal and if found, you will find yourself paying a fine for assimilating in illegal activity. So we will urge movie-buffs that do not entertain these sites.
Gehrahiyaan is financed by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shakun Batra under the banner Dharma Productions with the collaboration of Viacom 18 Studios and Jouska Films.
The screenplay is written by Shakun, Ayesha Devitre, Sumit Roy, and Yash Sahai. On the technical front, cinematography and editing have been carried out by Kaushal Shah and Nitesh Bhatia. Kabeer Kathpalia and Savera Mehta gave the music.
