Bollywood’s Mastani Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Shuka and Ananya Pandey starrer romantic drama film Gehraiyaan, which skipped the theatre-release and was released directly on Amazon Prime Video, is set to make its world TV premiere soon.
The film was directed by Shakun Batra, who is known for directing movies like “Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu” and “Kapoor and Sons”. Along with Batra, Gehraiyaan was written by Ayesha Devitre, Sumit Roy and Yash Sahai.
Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production in association with Viacom18 Studios and Joust Films, the series premiered on Feb 11 on Prime Video and got a mixed response from critics and audience.
Although the effective screenplay and Deepika’s performance got all-praises, normal middle class audience didn’t find the movie relevant to their lives, with people calling it a movie only for the spoiled rich people of the society that are very few in numbers in our country.

Gehraiyaan Star Cast
In the film, Deepika Padukone played as a Yoga instructor Alisha “Al” Khanna, Ananya Pandey played as her sister Tia Khanna while Siddhant Chaturvedi played Zain Oberoi, Tia’s boyfriend and fiancée, who later had an affair with Alisha.
Along with these actors, Dhairya Karwa played as Alisha’s boyfriend Karan Arora, and Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah played as Alisha’s father Vinod Khanna.
