Young actress Janhvi Kapoor starrer Good Luck Jerry is an upcoming black comedy crime film has finally gotten a release date. Set in Punjab, the film is directed by Sidharth Sengupta, best known for directing acclaimed web-series Apharan and Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein.
The film’s dialogues are written by Pankaj Maata. Produced by Lyca Productions, Colour Yellow Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films, Good Luck Jerry is the Hindi remake of Nelson Dilipkumar’s 2018 directorial Kolamaavu Kokila that turned-out-to be a blockbuster at Box-office and starred South India’s Lady Superstar Nayanthara in lead role.
Good Luck Jerry OTT Release Date Out
The filming of this highly-anticipated film had begun in Punjab in January, last year and the team completed the shoot in just 2 days in March 2021. Now, the makers have revealed the official release date of the film and announced that it will have a directed-to-OTT release on Disney+Hotstar on July 29, 2022.
The official twitter handle of Disney+Hotstar announced the release date with an interesting caption “Apni kismat banane nikli hai Jerry, good luck nahi bologe?”.

Janhvi Kapoor’s 3rd film opting for a OTT Release
Good Luck Jerry is the third film of the Dhadak actor opting for a direct-to-OTT release instead of a theatrical release following the 2020 horror film Ghost Stories and biographical drama film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, both of which were streamed on Netflix.
The actress will soon be seen in thriller film Mili, directed by Mathukutty Xavier, being a remake of his own Malayalam film titled Helen. In addition to this, Janhvi has Mr. and Mrs. Maahi and Bawaal in the pipeline.

The film stars Janhvi in the titular role (Jerry), a girl struggling to find a job to take care of his family but unfortunately ends up getting involved in a drug-smuggling business. Along with her, the film also stars Tanu Weds Manu film series fame Deepak Dobriyal as Shekhar, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood and Sushant Singh.
