Gossip Girl is an American teen drama series developed by Joshua Safran that premiered on HBO Max. It is based on the novel of the same name written by Cecily Von Ziegesar and it’s a sequel of the CW television series that premiered in 2007.
Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage who are executive producers of the original series are’ co-creators, along with Joshua Safran.
Gossip Girl premiered on HBO Max on July 8. The first season was of 12 episodes, split into two six-episode parts, with the second half releasing in 2021 in the month of November. In 2021, September the series was called for a second season.
Gossip Girl Release date
Gossip Girl’s mid-season break took so long, but the co-executive producer and the showrunner Joshua Safran promise that the wait will be worth it.
Speaking with a media house, Safran revealed that original cast members of the show the gossip girls are all set to make cameos on the last six episodes of the show. The release date of Part 2 of the Gossip Girl season 1 is November 2021, on HBO Max and it will be a weekly release.
Gossip Girl Plot
The first half of the Gossip Girl season 1 ended with several questions for what the next season will be released. Julien, the lead girl struggling with how to establish herself on social media as an influencer. Julien reconnects with her ex-boyfriend Obie and the two share an intimate scene.
Obie is dating Julien’s sister and now this will affect her relationship with her. In another love triangle in the series, a threesome finally takes place between Aki, Audrey, and Max. The story is all about teenage students who are struggling with their personalities and now what will happen next?
Who will do what to save their relationship, to come out of their problems, etc? Gossip Girl has shut down its blog or you can say website, with a new set of students and their life accompanying drama. This time, however, social media will change the scenario of Manhattan’s clique.
Gossip Girl Star Cast
The new cast members of part 2 of gossip girls season 1 include Jordan Alexander, Whitney Peak, Eli Brown, Tavi Gevinson, Thomas Doherty, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, and Savanna Lee Smith. Kristen Bell will reprise her role from the original series as she will be the show’s narrator.
