The first Indian original series to be streamed on Lionsgate Play, directed by Kunal Kohli, Hiccups and Hookups is an upcoming family drama that revolves around the life of the Rao family.
Lionsgate Play chose actor Rajkumar Rao to introduce the characters of the series today (November 10) by sharing a video, introducing a tale of the sassy and spunky Rao family. The story of the series is said to be adapted by the famous US show Casual.

The series features Lara Dutta, Prateik Babbar, and Shinnova in the lead roles, with Divya Seth, Nassar Abdullah, Khalid Siddiqui, Meiyang Chang, Meera Chopra, and Ayn Zoya also playing pivotal roles.
Hiccups And Hookups Plot
The series revolves around the unfiltered story of the Rao family, where Vasudha Rao (Lara Dutta) plays the role of a recently separated wife, trying to take care of her daughter Kay (Shinnova) single-handedly, along with her hunky brother Akhil Rao (Prateik Babbar).
Rajkumar Rao while introducing the characters describes Lara’s character as someone who is a “classic modern stree” but is always stuck at the thought of choosing a person to date.
He further describes Prateik as a brother who thinks he is the “Newton of relationships” but fails every time in the dating ludo. He describes the character of Shinnova as a teenage girl who wants to be a relationship queen but always ends up in a bad scene.
The whole series features the life of modern Raos who do not shy away from giving relationship advice to each other or discussing their relationships. The background of the series is that of an open-minded family who believes in having no regrets and no filters attached to their lives!

The series is all set to go live on Lionsgate Play from November 26, 2021! The first poster of the sassy series was dropped today on November 10, where we see Lara Dutta, Shinnova, and Prateik Babbar lying in a bunk bathtub, passing over some wine to each other and every bathtub seems to have a hole in them as the water flows out from each one of them!

The poster clearly portrays the way the Rao family is with each other and the relationship that they share, which is very comforting and comic at times. This family drama is full of all the emotional twists and turns and is sure to keep you glued from November 26!
