Rajkummar Rao’s action thriller film “HIT: The First Case” has been released in cinemas, it is a Hindi remake of a south Indian film (Telugu) of the same name. Written and helmed by Sailesh Kolanu who also directed the original version.
Let us also inform you that the original Telugu version’s sequel Hit: the second case is slated to release this July end. The Hindi remake starring Rao graced the cinemas today and the early reviews are all positive.
Reviews
Chirag Sehgal of News 18 gave the film 3.5 out of 5 stars, calling the story predictable but intrigued, Siddharth Kulkarni of Koimoi compared the film with Andhadhun called that is not at par with Aysuhmann’s flick but isn’t weak either, he gave the film 3 out of 5 stars. Bollywood Hungama also gave 3 out of 5 stars it praised the screenplay and the direction. The chasing sequence, songs, screenplay, direction, and the performance of Rajkummar Rao are the highlight of the film.
Screen Count and Budget
Rao is seen performing action sequences in the film which he has never done before. Critics are praising his new avatar, but how the audience takes it as, it is remained to be seen. Hit: the first case is a mid-budget film as per Amar Ujala Hindi, it is made on a budget of Rs 35-40 crores. It is released in around 1200 screens in India.
Box Office Collection Day 1
According per the trade estimation, the film is expected to open in the range of Rs 1 to 1.5 Cr nett as there is no buzz surrounding the film. However, if the content is good, we have seen films doing well at the ticket windows Like Major (Hindi), 777 Charlie, Rocketry (Hindi), etc, due to word of mouth.

National award winner Rajkummar Rao’s HIT: The First Case also stars Sanya Malhotra of Badhaai Ho fame, the trailer was well received by the viewers, bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Dil Raju under the banner T-Series Film, and Dil Raju Production.
