National film awardee actress Vidya Balan is gearing up for another Amazon Prime film after 2021 thriller Sherni, the upcoming film is titled ‘Jalsa’.
Jalsa is directed by Suresh Triveni, it is touted to be a conflict thriller that revolves around two women from the opposite ends of society a celebrated journalist and a cook. It marks the second project of Director Suresh with Vidya.
Jalsa OTT Release Date
Vidya starrer went on the floors in Aug 2021 and as per reports is currently in its post-production phase. Jalsa is financed by Abundantia entertainment, it is their third film with Amazon Prime after Sherni and Shakuntala Devi both of which featured Vidya Balan in the main lead.
The former also has made the successful crime drama series Breathe for the digital platform, now they are gearing up for the third film and overall the fourth venture, Jalsa with the platform. Jalsa is scheduled to premiere on the Amazon Prime Video platform on 18 March 2022.

It features National awardee actress Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah (Delhi Crime) essaying the key roles, other actors Rohini Hattangadi, Iqbal Khan, Vidharti Bandi, Shrikant Yadav, Ghansyam Lalsa, Gurpal Singha, and Surya Kasibhatla. Tumhari Sulu fame Manav Kaul is said to be appearing in a cameo role.
First Look Posters
Tumhari Sulu actress took to Twitter and launched the first look posters of her upcoming film, she shared two posters featuring herself and Shefali Shah along with the release date. Giving a little synopsis about the film she wrote, “The Real Story Hides Beneath her Smile… Super Excited To Announce Jalsa Streams on 18 March at Amazon Prime Video.”

Directed by Suresh Triveni he also co-wrote the screenplay for the film along with Prajwal Chandrashekar. Dialogues are written by Abbas Dalal and Hussain Dalal. Suresh also backed the film along with Vikram Malhotra, Shikhaa Sharma, it is made under the banner Abundantia Entertainment. Saurabh Goswami is the cinematographer. Presented by Bhushan Kumar and T-Series.
