The 2016 Marathi film Sairat had shaken the box office by grossing Rs 110 crores approx. The cast and crew of the romantic tragedy are now in a Bollywood sports film Jhund.
Jhund tells the story of a professor who is a founder of Slum Soccers named Vijay Barse. He instills enthusiasm in street children to form a football team. Amitabh Bachchan will be seen portraying Vijay Barse in Jhund.
Production
The shooting of Jhund began in Dec 2018 and concluded in Aug 2019. Earlier makers had decided to release the film in Sept 2019 but the film was later put off to Dec 2019 and then May 2020, further it was again pushed back owing to the case filed on filmmaker for copyright infringement.
In meantime, it was also being said that the makers are mulling over to premiere the film on the digital platform, but recently makers announced the release date of this long-delayed project.

On 2 Feb 2022, Main Lead Amitabh Bachchan himself took to Twitter and announced the release date with a new poster of the film in which big-b was seen donning a tracksuit holding a football in hand, and looking away from the camera.
He also captioned the poster with an amusing note he wrote, ” Iss Toli Se Muqable Karne Ke Liye Raho Taiyaar! Humari team Aa Rahi Hai” Jhund hits the cinemas near you on 4 March 2022.

The trailer of Jhund has been released on the 23rd of Feb, Amitabh Bachchan’s character wants to bring change in a slum area, it’s a sports drama, the trailer is promising.
Star Cast of Jhund
It stars Amitabh Bachchan in the titular role of Vijay Barse, other actors Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru Sairat fame will be seen playing pivotal roles.
Well-known Marathi Director Nagraj Manjule is helming the project, it also marks his Bollywood debut, his work will be seen in another Hindi project called Unpaused: Naya Safar this year in which he himself acted as well wrote, directed and produced.
