Varun Dhawan’s Jug Jugg Jeeyo after a wonderful opening weekend is rock steady on the weekdays. The film is directed by Raj Mehta and backed by Dharma Production in association with Viacom 18 studios.
Varun-Kiara led was opened with Rs 9.28 crores on Day 1 and further showing the growth over the weekend, it collected Rs 41.75 crores on the first weekend.
And worldwide, it did the business of Rs 59 crores gross, beating Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj and Bachchan Paandey, it ranks at number 3 spot in the highest-grossing opening weekend Hindi film 2022. On the first two weekdays, Varun’s film held well, maintaining the same pace, Jugjugg Jeeyo earned Rs 3.9 Cr on Day 6 (Wed) to take the total collections to Rs 50.24 crores nett. With it, the film beats the lifetime India collection of Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Paandey of Rs 49.98 crores.

On the first weekday, Jugjugg Jeeyo witnessed a drop of 68.08% compared to the prior day and earned Rs 4.82 Cr. On Tuesday, it saw a moderate drop and garnered Rs 4.5 Cr, taking the total five-day India collection to Rs 46.25 crores.

5th Highest Grosser Hindi Film of 2022
Moreover, it secures the 5th spot in the list of highest-grosser Hindi films of 2022, in India, after The Kashmir Files, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Gangubai Kathiawadi, and Samrat Prithviraj.
If the film maintains the same momentum through weekdays, Jugjugg Jeeyo will dethrone Akshay’s Prithviraj by the second weekend. As of yet, Jugjugg Jeeyo is predicted to finish with Rs 75 Cr lifetime, however, it remains to be seen how it picks up on the second weekend.
