“Kantara” marks the Kirik Party director Rishab Shetty’s fourth directorial venture after Ricky, Kirik Party, and Ramanna Rai. The movie is out in the cinemas and Rishab dons multiple hats as its writer, director, and lead actor.
Apart from Rishabh, it features Sapthami Gowda, Pramod Shetty, Kishore, and Achyuth Kumar. Kantara had created a good pre-release buzz through its intriguing trailer which received a rave response from the viewers.

Kantara Advance Bookings Report and Reviews
Kantara is opened with positive reviews from the critics, they heaped praise on its technical aspects, unique content, background score, and Rishab’s stunning performance, especially in the final 15 minutes. It is a small film made with a budget of 10-15 Cr approximately, it sold tickets worth Rs 32 lakhs for day 1.
Box Office Collection Day 1
Rishabh Shetty’s directorial takes a decent start at the box office and as positive audience word of mouth will pour in, the business of the movie is sure to grow over the coming days. As per the early trade estimations, it opens with Rs 3.5 Cr nett at the box office.
Kantara is produced by KGF makers, Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale films. On the technical front, the Music and Background score is given by B Ajaneesh Loknath, the DOP/cinematographer Arvind S Kashyap and Pratheek Shetty-KM Prakash handled the editing.

Why Kantara is not released in Pan India?
The common question arising about Rishabh starrer is why Kantara hasn’t been promoted and dubbed in other languages despite it has elements to appeal to people beyond boundaries.
According to Rishab, certain reasons related to the story made them do Kantara only for the Kannada audience although he agreed that there is huge content to promote it as a pan-India film. As per the director, the story of the film is based on the coastal Karnataka region, and people who come from the coastal region
relate to the flick more than anybody else.
Kantara is released outside Karnataka with English subtitles.
