The smash hit Kannada film “Kantara” is having a phenomenal run at the box office. Now, in addition to this, the Hindi version of the flick has graced the cinema halls.
Talking about the Hindi belt, Kantara has netted Rs 1.30 Cr in the Hindi circuits in the Kannada language. Rs 1.50 Cr nett what KGF2 had collected in the Kannada language in the Hindi circuits.
As per the report of Boxofficeindia.com, Kantara-Kannada is likely to beat the KGF2’s biz soon to become the highest grosser in Kannada in Hindi circuits which speaks volumes about the hype it has created amongst the Kannada audience.

Box Office Collection Day 1
Makers released the film without promotions and marketing which translated into low numbers in advance bookings. However, Kantara is a movie that will grow due to word of mouth, the same happened with its Kannada version.
As per the trade reports, it rakes in between 1-1.5 Cr nett on its first day in Hindi. The business of Kantara consists 50-60L from the multiplexes with single screens putting in another 70-80L. It has opened better than the movies which had featured popular Hindi film names like Rocketry and Godfather.
The business of the Rishab Shetty starrer is certain to grow over the coming days. Most of the earnings are expected to come from Maharashtra and Odisha as the original version has done very well in these circuits.
Kantara-Hindi Reviews & Screen Counts
Kantara has already reaped huge profits for whoever invested in it, the domestic collections of the flick have reached over 72 crores in 2 weeks, as per the trade reports. Reportedly, the Hindi version of the flick has been released on over 2500 screens across India, which is 3rd highest release for a dubbed film after KGF2 and RRR in Hindi.
Critics heaped praise on Kantara-Hindi, top movie critic and biz analyst Taran Adarsh gave the film 4 stars out of 5 and called the flick Brilliant in his one-word review. Critic Rohit Jaiswal called it Cinematic-Masterpiece and rated it 4.5/5 stars.

Kantara-Hindi Advance Bookings
Advance bookings for Kantara-Hindi were opened on Oct 12, two days ahead of the release. It has recorded 18632 ticket sales worth Rs 32L+ in 2d format from the advance bookings, as per Sacnilk.com.
