Rishab Shetty’s film “Kantara” is winning the hearts of Kannada cinephiles considering the stupendous box office run of the film. It is directed, written and starred by Rishab Shetty.
Kantara was released on Sept 30 to rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. It is getting praise for the production design, writing, directions, cinematography, performances and unabashed celebration of folklore and native culture, including Daivaradhane, Bhoota Kola, and Kambala.
Kantara to be released in Hindi
The film is doing phenomenal business at the box office in Karnataka. It was opened on a decent note and further saw its biz grow leaps and bounds due to audience word of mouth.
For the uninitiated, the film is made on a budget of 10-15 crores and has already covered its budget at the box office. It was released in the Kannada language only and outside Karnataka with English subtitles.
But after the success of the flick in the original version, it is now all set to be released in other Indian languages as well. Recently, makers, Hombale films taking to social media announced that Kantara will be released in Hindi on 14 Oct 2022. The Telugu version will be released a day after.

Kantara-Hindi Bookings Open
The bookings for the Kantara Hindi version have been opened from today, Oct 12th onwards. Online ticket bookings website, BookMyShow taking to Twitter on Tue announced the same.

Kantara is also set to be released in Malayalam languages, reports state that Prithiviraj Sukumaran has bought the Kerala theatrical rights of Kantara.

Kantara Box Office Report
The success of the film shows how to create an enthralling cinematic experience without burning crores. It had taken a decent start at the BO but with the positive reviews pouring in, Kantara saw huge growth in its collections in the coming days.
As per the trade estimation, Kantara has gone past the 50 crores mark in its 10day run at the box office. And now, with the multi-language release, it will now be eying the 100 crore mark domestically.
On the other, it is on the way to becoming the 4th blockbuster in the Sandalwood industry this year, after James, KGF2, and 777 Charlie. Given the rave reviews, the flick seems to have all the elements to appeal to people beyond boundaries. One can hope it becomes successful in other languages as well.
