The recent Sandalwood sensational Kantara was released on Sept 30, the flick has already achieved the tag blockbuster in the original version. And following the success of the Kannada version, makers make it grandeur by releasing it in cinemas in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu dubbed versions.
It is doing very well in the dubbed version as well, the Hindi version saw upwards of 1 crore opening at the box office and registers 100% growth on the following day whereas Tamil and Telugu witnessed a wide release. It is starred, written, and directed by Rishab Shetty and backed by the KGF makers Hombale Films.

All set to cross 100 crores Domestically
With the pan-India release, Kantara witnessed a huge growth in footfalls across the board on Saturday. It has emerged as the best performing day on its third Saturday (Day 16) after its 2nd Sunday.
The film has now crossed the 100-crore mark at the box office in India, showing a further jump of 20-25% on its 3rd Sunday, all versions. Kantara again touched the double-digit figure on Sun (Day 16) taking the total biz crossing 100 crore mark. Kantara domestic collections now stand at Rs 112 crores net, all versions.
Kantara-Tamil & Telugu Box Office
Kantara draws in upwards of 1.12 crores from the advance bookings for Sunday in Tamil and Telugu. Overall, it clocked in around 6 crores from the bookings, including Kannada and Hindi.
Kantara releases in over 300 theatres in Telugu and 100 theatres in Tamil. Both the dubbed versions are estimated to have raked in 3.8 crore nett, collectively on the first day. And as per the early trade estimations, it rakes in over 6-7 crore nett on Sun (Day 2) to take the total Tamil-Telugu biz over 8.5 crore nett.

As per the BO tracker, T2BLive Kantara has churned out over 4.85 crores shares in the Telugu states alone. FYI, It has already breached past the breakeven in Telugu on its first day itself by clocking in over 2 crores shares (Rs 3.5 Cr nett) emerging as 14th clean hit in Telugu states in 2022.

Kantara-Malayalam version release date locked
Kantara-Malayalam version will be out on Oct 20th in cinemas. Prithviraj Sukumaran whose Prithviraj Productions has bagged the Malayalam rights, announced it via social media. Check out his tweet below:
