Young Telugu actor Nikhil Siddhartha starrer Karthikeya 2 stole the show on big screens. Billed as an adventure thriller, the film is directed by Chandoo Mondeti and is a sequel to the 2014 film Karthikeya, which was also directed by Mondeti.
The film produced by Abhishek Agarwal Arts and People Media Factory, was released on August 13, 2022, in theaters and is currently doing exceptionally well at BO as well as winning audiences’ hearts. Along with the Telugu version, it was also released in dubbed Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada versions.
Nikhil Siddhartha has played as Dr. Karthikeya Kumaraswamy/Karthik. Actress Anupama Parameswaran and Bollywood’s veteran actor Anupam Kher also played pivotal roles in the film along with Srinivasa Reddy, Harsha Chemudu, Aditya Menon, Praveen, Satya and Tulasi.

Karthikeya 2 is all set to have a digital premiere soon after winning at Box Office, loved by the Hindi audiences as well. The mystery adventure movie is latest hit South Indian movie, Hindi audiences are waiting for its OTT premiere, streaming on Zee5 from 5th of October, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

The film which was earlier scheduled to be released on July 22, 2022 was postponed to August 12, 2022, to avoid a direct clash with Naga Chaitanya starrer Thank You.

The post theatrical streaming rights of the film acquired by India’s own OTT streaming platform Zee5. It is also being said that the film will stream on the platform from 5th of October, not confirmed yet.

Karthikeya 2 Box-Office Performance
The success of Karthikeya 2 in Telugu speaking states was somewhat expected but the success of the Hindi version is totally unprecedented. Despite locking horns with big Bollywood films like Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan, the film shown an exceptional performance in Hindi belt.
On the first day, only 200+ screens were allotted to its Hindi version which has now gone to more than 1500. Even on working days, the film is going houseful in Hindi belt, where it has grossed Rs. 1.45 crore in just 5-6 days. This just proved yet again where content is strong, there is no language barrier, this is a clean Hindi hit, collected 25 Cr+ in these days.
