Based on the British quiz reality show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”, Sony TV’s popular show Kaun Banega Crorepati is back with its 14th season on the platform with Big B- Amitabh Bachchan back as the show’s host.
Since its commencement in 2000, KBC has been one of the favourite shows of every Indian household. Everyone just loves to watch the show at night while having their dinner.
Apart from the show’s format, what makes it everyone’s favourite and India’s most popular reality show is the magical aura and charm of the show’s host, Big B, whose great sense of humour keeps the audience as well as the participants entertained.
Like all the previous seasons, the ongoing season of KBC is also among the list of top reality shows in India. It has completed 54 seasons so far (till October 20). KBC 14 started airing on Sony TV on August 7, 2022.

KBC 14: Changes Done So Far
This 14th season of KBC featured several major twists in the show. The top prize was increased to Rs. 7.5 crore to celebrate Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, or the 75th Independence Day of India. Also, the number of questions has been increased from 15 to 17 in an interesting change, a first for a global millionaire franchise.
Unlike the previous seasons, there are only 3 lifelines used throughout the game, as Expert Advice and Flip-the-Question have been replaced by “video call a friend.” The other two lifelines are 50:50 and Audience Poll.
KBC Season 14 Finale Date & Winners
It has been almost 4 and a half months since the ongoing season started to premiere. As per sources, the finale of this season will be aired on December 30, 2022 after completing 108 episodes.
This season got its first and only winner so far in the 33rd episode, and she is Kavita Chawla from Maharashtra, who brought in Rs. 1 crore. She also became the first contestant worldwide to reach the 17th question. Shashwat Goel attempted 7.5 Cr, but failed to answer and won 75 lakhs.

The first episode of the show features Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, Major D.P. Singh, and Colonel Mitali Madhumita, as well as India’s star footballer and boxer, Sunil Chhetri and Mary Kom, respectively, on the hot seat.
