It has been over 20 days and the craze of Rocky Bhai starrer still can be witnessed across the country at the ticket counters in cinemas. After achieving the clean hit status in the Telugu version recently, the film has become the second non-Tamil origin film to gross Rs 100 Cr in Tamilnadu state after Baahubali 2.
Let us inform you that the film has already achieved blockbuster status globally and currently is in a profit of around Rs 175 crores. On the occasion of Eid, the film saw a huge surge in the box office figures, the film remains the first choice of movie-lovers during Eid.
On the northern belt, the film witnessed a big chunk of the footfalls coming at the ticket counters and emerges as the first choice in the Hindi belt too. The other two newly released films Runway 34 and Heropanti 2 failed to attract the audience, both the films didn’t see a big growth on Eid as compared to previous days, while the former collected Rs 3.5 crores the latter only Rs 2.5 crores with the growth in the range of 20 to 25% compared to the prior day.
Conversely, KGF 2 with the collection of Rs 9.57 saw over a 150% growth on Tuesday, its raging Hindi box office numbers are now en route to joining the Rs 400 Cr club, which it might fetch on Saturday. As per the early reports, the film remained steady on Wednesday owing to the Basi Eid and crossed the overall domestic nett collection of Aamir Khan’s Dangal (Rs 387.38 crores).

With the Wednesday collection of Rs 8.75 Cr, the total KGF2 Hindi collections stands at Rs 391.65 Cr. Prashant Neel’s directorial is now only behind Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2’s nett Hindi collection of Rs 510.99 crores, which is yet far away. The monster needs to collect over Rs 100 Cr more to surpass Baahubali 2 Hindi collections.
