Prashant Neel’s directorial is on the way to crossing the lifetime business of RRR soon, the period action flick is now only around Rs 10 Cr behind to cross the overall business of RRR (Rs 1128 crores).
In a 23-day theatrical run, Rocky Bhai starrer has earned Rs 1118 crore at the box office worldwide, and the only time it has seen a single-digit worldwide collection is on the fourth Friday(Rs 8.85 Cr gross). Now the reports suggest that Yash’s film will again witness a surge in the fourth weekend.
The film has become this year’s biggest grosser in Hindi crossing Rs 400 Cr in just 24 days, it left behind this year’s magnum opuses like The Kashmir Files, RRR(Hindi), and Gangubai Kathiawadi, while these three films have the collections roaming around Rs 250 crores, Yash starrer with Rs 401.80 Cr became the second-highest grosser Hindi film of all time in the domestic market.
Though the film needs another ton to become the highest grosser in Hindi, which seems impossible as of now, the way Yash starrer is churning out the collections is that too when it is made on a budget far low than Baahubali2, is just phenomenal.
Going by the early trends, KGF2 will have no effect of Doctor Strange mania in its collections and will see a rise, it could accumulate Rs 4.50 Cr** nett on Saturday taking the total collections to Rs 406 Cr+ in Hindi.
