Laal Singh Chaddha which rides on a huge budget has gone past Rs 50 Cr domestically while Akshay’s Raksha Bandhan looks like will end its run below 50 crores. As there is no hope for both the films to do well at the ticket counters considering the dull performance of the same on the occasion of Janmasthami. On the other, Tollywood’s recent outing fared very well on Friday and reigned supreme at the box office. The latter film has recently gone past Rs 60 Cr gross mark.

The reason behind the dull performance
Yes! the boycott trend does have a role in the below-par performances of the films but we can’t say that it is the sole reason behind making the films flop. The content of both the flicks is good but not good enough that one will waste their money on it.
Aamir’s Laal Singh Chaddha is a remake of a widely popular film Forrest Gump which has already been seen by many in India then why will they watch it in theatres when the original is already there, moreover, Akshay starrer is based on a topic which has a demand on OTT and it could have grabbed the eyeballs there not in theatres.
