It has been raining hits in Tollywood and raining flops at the box office up north, the difference here is the content, the Hindi industry is not delivering the quality content that the audience wants. And due to the lack of content, the dubbed versions of south Indian films like Karthikeya 2 are doing good business in the Hindi belt as well.
It has been almost three months since the Hindi film industry delivered a blockbuster film, after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 there is a dearth of successful films in the industry. Jug Jugg Jeeyo churned out decent collections but it ended up its run with the average verdict.

Box Office Collection Friday
Karthikeya 2 is performing better than Aamir’s LSC at the box office, even the Hindi collections of Nikhil starrer are on par with LSC domestic collections. LSC had raked in Rs 1.35 Cr on Thursday which is a more than 20% drop whereas Karthikeya 2 estimated collection was Rs 3.35 Cr. The early trade reports suggest that the small film Karthikeya 2 saw a huge jump in collections due to Janmasthami on Friday while LSC continues its downtrend.
As per the early trade reports, Karthikeya 2 collects Rs 8.55 Cr gross on Friday taking its total worldwide collections to over 50 crores in one week, whereas LSC is estimated to collect 0.90-1 cr making its domestic collections in the vicinity of 52 crores in 9 days.

Box Office Laal Singh Chaddha
Recent release films Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan look like will meet the same fate, as the reports of shows of both the films being canceled and replaced with Karthikeya 2 are coming in on daily basis. Both the flicks have become flop affairs at the box office and likely see their run, end up with a disaster verdict.
Talking about Laal Singh Chaddha, the expectations were huge as the fans and the viewers were waiting for the superstar film for 4 yrs, but the film tanked at the box office on the first day itself with a below-par performance. In its one-week theatrical run, it didn’t even manage to accumulate Aamir’s previous film Thugs of Hindustan day 1 collection.

Box Office Karthikeya 2
On the other, Nikhil Siddharth’s flick is raking in very good collections at the box office, the small film completed its breakeven in three days and has emerged as a blockbuster at the box office within a week.
Karthikeya 2 has struck a chord with the audience, it was allotted around 600+ screens on Day 1 but due to audience positive WOM, the screens have surged to 2000+ till Friday. The small film is doing wonders like Kashmir Files by outperforming biggies like Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan at the box office on daily basis.
