Luka Chuppi 2 is the sequel of the film Luka Chuppi starring Kartik Aryan and Kriti Sanon, it was released on 1 March 2019 and was commercially successful at the box office, the film was made on the budget of Rs 34 crore and garnered Rs 128.86 crores at the box office worldwide.
Following this the makers announced its sequel in Sept 2019, the film was in the developing stage at that time. The director told in an interview about the sequel is that while their idea of a live-in relationship of a couple with the idea of family infusion in it had worked and the audience appreciated their effort, in the next sequel they will try to do the same.
He said, “While We Have Seen many Films with Live-in relationships as A Theme, we Infused the Family angle in Luka Chuppi which Made the Film more Accessible to The Audience. So, Our Intention is to Make the sequel Just as Accessible With a twist”.

However, Luka Chuppi 2 shooting started recently in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the film stars the main lead as Sara Ali Khan and the newlywed groom Vicky Kaushal.
Recently a still from the shooting of the film was doing the rounds on social media, in which Sara and Vicky were seen riding a bike. It erupted controversy when a resident of Indore claimed that the registration number of the bike that is being used in the film, is fake.
Jai Singh Yadav who also filed the complaint against the makers said that ” Vehicle Number used in the movie Sequence Is Mine. I Don’t Know if The Film unit Is aware of it…This is Illegal, can’t use my Number Plate (4872) Without Permission.”
Now, the police have clarified that it was a bolt that appeared as number 4 instead of number 1, Rajendra Soni, SHO, Bangana, Indore told to PTI that ” We Investigated the Matter & Found that the Vehicle was Not 4872. The number was 1872 but due to a bolt, no 1 looked like number 4. They Had (Makers of Luka Chuppi 2) for the Number Plate. We Found No Irreguralities in It.
