Directed by Sashi Karan Tikka, biographical drama film titled Major based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who attained martyrdom in 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, had hit the theatre on early this month.
The film got lots of love and highly positive reviews from the audience as well as critics. Young and promising Tollywood actor Adivi Sesh played the role of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan in the film.
The film was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages and hence marks the Hindi film debut of Adivi Sesh. Along with him, the film stars Prakash Raj, Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Revathi, Murali Sharma, Anish Kuruvilla, Abhinav Singh in key roles.
Major Hindi OTT Release Date
Major released theatrically on June 3, 2022 and had a successful run across the country. Earlier, it had a limited theater- release on June 24, 2022 in Hindi, Telugu and dubbed Tamil version.
Now after receiving a lot of appreciation from the public the film is ready to have its OTT streaming. Hindi audiences have been waiting for the film to be released on a digital platform and now it seems their wish will soon be completed.
Global Over-the-Top streaming giant Netflix has bought the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film. The Film is coming to the platform on this Sunday, July 3, 2022, exactly a month after its theatrical release in Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam languages. It seems Tamil audiences have to wait a bit to watch the movie on OTT platform.

Major Reviews and Box-Collection in Hindi Belt
The film grossed Rs. 13.10 cr. on its opening day in the country. As per popular film critic Taran Adarsh, the film earned Rs. 4.66 crore domestically in the Hindi belt and crossed Rs. 12 crore collection in the after 3rd weekend.
However, the film didn’t do as it expected from it in the Hindi belt but surely won the audiences’ hearts and led to the increase in the fan-following of Adivi Sesh. Overall, the film earned a decent amount in the Hindi belt.
