Operation Romeo is an upcoming Hindi thriller drama film which is directed by Shashant Shah, who previously directed films like Dasvidaniya (2008), Chalo Dilli (2011) and Bajatey Raho (2013).
It is bankrolled by producers Neeraj Chopra and Shital Bhatia’s Friday Filmwork in association with Reliance Entertainment. Chopra, in the past, produced many acclaimed movies like A Wednesday (2008), Rustom (2016), M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016), Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017) and more.
Apart from Operation Romeo, Neeraj Chopra has many projects in the pipeline for this year including Hrithik Roshan starrer Vikram Vedha, which is the remake of 2017 Tamil film of the same name and an untitled remake of Malayalam romantic thriller Ishq (2019).
Operation Romeo Star Cast
- TV actor Sidhant Gupta, who previously appeared in TV shows like Tashan-E-Ishq and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9 is playing the male lead in the film. He also worked in Amazon Prime’s sports drama series Inside Edge 3 as well as in movies such as Badmashiyaan (2015) and Bhoomi (2017).
- Actress and Model Vedika Pinto is the female lead of the film. She is best known for starring in the music video “Liggi” by Ritviz, in which she portrayed the role of a bold, wild and fearless bride.
- Actor Sharad Kelkar who is known as the Hindi voice of Prabhas as Baahubali in the Baahubali franchise will also be seen in the crucial role.
- Actress Bhumika Chawla, who played the role of MS Dhoni’s elder sister in (late) actor Sushant Singh Rajput starrer M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, will also play a pivotal role in the film
- Marathi actor Kishor Kadam will also portray a key character in the film

Operation Romeo Release Date
On 31st of Marh 2022, the makers announced the release date of the movie by dropping a motion poster, which sets the tone of upcoming powerful drama high.
The 25-second long motion poster features the entire key star cast including Sidhanat Gupta, Vedika Pinto, Sharad Kelkar, Bhumika Chawla and Kishore Kadam. While Sharad Kelkar was showcased in an angry and intense look, Bhumika is featured wearing a Marathi rose ring and a Marathi half moon Bindi with a shocking expression on her face.
The film is going to hit the big screen on Friday, 22 April 2022 and it will highlight the issues regarding bullying of young couples by people.
