Based on the Pacific Rim franchise, Pacific Rim: The Black is an original net adult animated series, which is all set to come up with its most exciting second season.
Along with this animated series, The Pacific Rim franchise also comprises two films titled Pacific Rim (2013), Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018).
The first season of the anime series was released on March 4, 2021 on Netflix and it comprised 7 episodes, having run-time of 20-30 minutes each.
The series is created by the Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro in association with Travis Beacham while it was produced by American company Legendary Television and animated by Japanese studio Polygon Pictures.
Greg Johnson and Marvel comics writer Craig Kyle have served as the showrunners in the series. Both of them have a long history of writing epic animated adventures.
While Johnson was the head writer on X-Men: Evolution and also wrote Transformers: Rescue Bots, Craig Kyle wrote for Iron Man: Armored Adventure, Fantastic Four: World’s Greatest Heroes and also co-wrote Marvel Studios’ big blockbuster Thor: Ragnarok.
The anime series has music by Brandon Campbell. The series is directed by Jae-hong Kim and Hiroyuki Hayashi. It was jointly produced by Jack Liang, Bill E. Miller and Ken Duer.
Pacific Rim: The Black Season 2 Voice Cast
- Canadian actor Calum Worthy, who is best known for his role as Dez on the Disney Channel series, has given his voice to the lead character of the anime series, Tylor Travis while Cole Keriazakos has given voice for the young Tylor Travis.
- Blockers (2018), The Mustang (2019) and The Craft: Legacy (2020) fame Gideon Adlon has given her voice to the character named Hayley Travis while Camryn Jones has given her voice to Young Hayley Travis.
- American voice actress Erica Lindbeck has given her voice to the character named Loa. Earlier, she was the voice of Barbie dolls and merchandise. She was the voice of Luna in the animated series Helluva Boss.
- Ben Diskin is the voice of Kaiju Boy
- Victoria Grace is the voice of Mei
- Andy McPhee is the voice of shane Shane
Pacific Rim: The Black Season 2 OTT Release Date
The makers of this anime series have announced its premiere date. It is now confirmed that the second and final season of Pacific Rim: The Black will premiere on streaming giant Netflix on April 19, 2022. The first season premiered on March 4, 2021.

Plot of the Series
The plot of the series shows the race of monsters known as Kaiju, arise from Pacific Rim and have taken over the continent of Australia. Two siblings Taylor and Hayley are among a few survivors of the continent and are in search of their parents, encountering new creatures, seedy characters and chance allies, who are all set to destroy them.
Pacific Rim: The Black Season 2 Trailer Out
