The highly anticipated Malayalam film “Pathonpatham Noottandu” is out in theatres and is getting rave reviews from the audience. The film took a very good start at the box office and is witnessing an upward trend in occupancy on day 2 as well.

Siju Wilson starrer is helmed by Vinayan and stars an ensemble cast along with Wilson, Anoop Menon, Kayadu Lohar, Deepti Sati, Poonam Bajwa, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sudev Nair, Senthil Krishna, Indrans, Renu Soundar, and Suresh Krishna among others.

Pathonpatham Noottandu Occupancy Report Day 2

It had an overall 20.44% Malayalam occupancy on the first day during all the shows. And as per the latest reports, it witnessed a jump in the occupancy rate on Day 2 (Friday). Reports said that it witnessed 7.64% morning occupancy, 20.51% occupancy during the noon shows and 35% and 37.54% during the evening and night shows, respectively. With the overall 25.15% Malayalam occupancy on Day 2, across all shows.

Box Office Collection Day 2

Pathonpatham Noottandu was opened with an estimated figure of 1.2 Cr gross on Day 1 and as per the trade reports, it showed a surge in the collection on Fri. It accumulated around Rs 1.5 to 1.8 crores on Friday (Day 2), taking the total two days’ collections to Rs 2.7 to 3 crores at the box office.

Despite multiple clashes, the film is reigning supreme at the box office in Malayalam. However, the collections are still on the lower side and might not recover the budget by the theatrical run.

On Day 2, it locks horns with Ranbir’s Brahmastra and Oka Oka Jeevitham or Kanam in the state, which are all set to take a huge start at the box office. Talking about Pathonpatham Noottandu, the movie is set in the 19th century and revolves around the life of Arrtupuzha Valyudha Panicker and evocatively deals with the abominable issue of casteist discrimination.

It is produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner Sree Gokulam Movies. The technical team includes, Shaji Kumar as the cinematographer, Vivek Harshan handled the editing and the music is scored by Santhosh Narayanan.
