Directed and written by A.C. Mugil Chellappan, and produced by V. Hitesh Jhabak, with B. Ganesh as the executive producer, Pon Manickavel is an upcoming Tamil action-thriller movie, under the banner of Jhabak Movies.
The cinematography of the film is being handled by K. G. Venkatesh, while the editing is rendered by T. Shivanandeeswaran, with D. Imman as the music composer.

The story revolves around the life of a police officer which is played by Prabhu Deva, who is an honest and loyal IPS Officer, who puts the welfare of society before himself. He gets involved in solving a heinous murder crime.
The film then turns into a complete action thriller where we see gunshots, bomb blasts, and a fear of losing more lives! Will the IPS Officer manage to handle it all on his own or will we see more bloodshed? The movie will be full of suspense and a pinch of romance with Prabhu Deva’s love interest by Nivetha Pethuraj.
Pon Manickavel Release Date
Though the movie was to be released earlier on March 6, 2020, the release was delayed due to the ongoing Covid-19 conditions and the makers have recently come up with a new release date. The movie is all set to go on the floors this month on November 19!

The official trailer of the movie was released way back in January 2020. By the looks of it, we can very well understand the criminal background of the movie, with the trailer beginning with a question if the police officer should work under the constraints of the department or should he work for the welfare of the public?
The movie stars Prabhu Deva in a cop’s role for the very first time and we also witness lots of action- a murder, cops running with guns, gunshots, explosions, and much more! The trailer also doesn’t miss on giving us a glimpse of the dancing king, Prabhu Deva’s hook steps in a song, and also a love scene with his female lead!
