The most expensive Nepali film to date “Prem Geet 3” has gone past 10 crore marks worldwide, in its 3-day run in the cinemas. It is now heading to cross the 15 Cr mark WW.
For the unversed, Prem Geet3 is the first Nepali film. It was released on 1200 screens worldwide on 23 Sept 2022 to be the widest release ever for a Nepali film. It is directed by the late Chhetan Gurung and Santosh Sen and boasts an ensemble cast with Pradeep Khadka and Kristina Gurung in the main leads.

Prem Geet 3 is 3rd Highest Grossing Nepali film?
As per the BO tracker, Neplych.com which claims that they have collected the data from verified sources, the 2022 release Kabaddi 4-The Final Match is the highest grossing Nepali film ever at the box office worldwide with NPR 22.77 crores, the second position is acquired by Chakka Panja 3 (NPR 20 crores) in the list, while, on the third spot stands the first installment in the Chhaka Panja film series titled Chhakka Panja which was released in Sept 2016 and had grossed NPR 16 crores globally.
If the above reports are to go by, then Prem Geet 3 with its 3day total collections of 11.18 crore gross (NPR 17.92 crore) worldwide becomes the third highest-grossing Nepali film of all time.
Box Office Collection Day 4
Prem Geet 3 will see a dip in its earnings on its first Monday in India, however, the good news is the tickets are sold at Rs 100 in plexes starting Monday (Day 4) which might continue to draw in the footfalls on the weekdays also. As per the early trade estimation, Prem Geet 3 collects Rs 20-30L on Day 4 in India.
Eying 25 Cr lifetime
Pradeep Khadka starrer has crossed the Rs 10 cr mark at the box office worldwide. The total 4 days worldwide collection of Nepali films stands in the vicinity of 12.5 crores at the box office.
The next target for the flick will be to cross the 15 crore mark on the weekdays and then head for 20 crores on the 2nd weekend. Going by the trends, it seems it will see its closing figures wrapping up under 23-25 crores gross lifetime at the box office worldwide to become the highest-grossing Nepali film to date.
