PS1 has crossed the 250 Cr nett mark in the domestic market and still netting crores on daily basis. It has been the year of south Indian cinema all the three highest Indian grosser of 2022, KGF-Chapter 2, RRR and PS-1 are from the south.
On the other, PS-1 has already emerged as the all-time highest-grosser in Tamil Nadu, 2nd highest-grosser Tamil movie ever, only movie which has crossed the 200 crore mark in TN. It will now eye to get as close as the 275 crore mark before its arrival on the OTT.

PS1 Box Office Hindi
The worldwide collection of Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus has gone past 460 crores gross at the box office. The multi-starrer is performing very well in all the dubbed versions, especially the Hindi version.
It earned 14.25 crores in its first week in Hindi, clocked in 5.53 crores in the following week, and is expected to draw in 2 crores in the third week. Taking the total three weeks Hindi collections over 21.5 crores**.
It has emerged as one of the best-performing movies in the Hindi market this year. It has already surpassed the Hindi bizz of the likes of Sita Ramam, Vikrant Rona, 777-Charlie, Vikram and Beast. And now eying the Rocketry(₹ 26.05 Cr) and Karthikeya 2(₹ 31.05 Cr) Hindi version lifetime.

Box Office Collection Day 21
Going by the early trade reports, PS-1 sees a significant drop on its third Thursday. It minted only 54L from the ticket sales for Day 21. However, the bizz is estimated to touch the 1 crore mark again, as per the reports. The total domestic collections now stands a little below 254 crores nett.
From today onwards, PS-1 will witness a significant drop in the collections in the home market due to the arrival of the much-hyped movies Sardar and Prince which sees a wide release in Tamil Nadu.
PS-1 is eying the 500 crore mark globally, it has performed very well in the home market and in the overseas market. And has turned out to be a profitable venture for everyone who has invested in it, producers, distributors and exhibitors. It has set the stage for Ponniyin Selvan-part 2 to storm at the box office.
