Akshay Kumar starrer Ram Setu was released during Diwali festivities and opened with a below-par performance at the box office. The film received mixed to negative reviews from the critics and the audience alike and despite this, it is now heading to collect 100 crores gross worldwide.
The 8 days worldwide gross collection of Ram Setu stands in the vicinity of 80 crores worldwide. It was released in three languages Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. It is performing very poorly in the latter two dubbed versions and in overseas markets. Mass belts are driving its biz.

Akki charged 50 Crs for Ram Setu
As per a report of ABP, Ram Setu is made with a budget of 85 crores. And the main lead alone takes home more than half of the budget. The report states that Akshay Kumar charged 50 crores for his role while Jacqueline Fernandez charged 4 crores as her fees.
Nushratt Bharuccha and Telugu actor Satyadev Kancharana remunerations for their respective roles are 3 Cr and 1 Cr respectively.
Box Office Collection Day 9
Ram Setu has recorded a big drop in its advance bookings for day 9, it collected ₹ 35.49L from pre-sales for Wednesday. It stays stable on its 2nd Wednesday albeit on the lower side.
As per the early trade estimations, Ram Setu clocked in 2-2.2 crores on its 2nd Wednesday to take the total collections of the movie over ₹ 64 crores nett.

Eying Samrat Prithviraj Lifetime
Ram Setu total worldwide collection stands at ₹ 80 crores gross approx(8 days) out of which ₹ 73 crores gross (₹ 61.85 crores nett) alone came in from the domestic market while the overseas collections of the movie stands at ₹ 7Cr gross.
The collections of the film are indeed on the lower side for a big star like Akshay Kumar but going by the performances of his past releases, Ram Setu is emerging as the best performer in India. Ram Setu has already crossed the lifetime bizz of Bachchan Paandey and Raksha Bandhan and will next be eying the lifetime biz of Samrat Prithviraj (₹ 68.05 Cr ) which it is certain to cross in a few days.
