Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR (Roudram Ranam Rudhiram) graces the cinema halls on 25 March (Friday), read on to know the screen counts, records, reviews, and the Day 1 box office collection.
The epic period action drama after showing amazing response in the advance ticket bookings, receiving a spectacular response at the cinema halls.
The film graces the cinemas in all five Indian languages Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam, and fetching rave responses from the critics as well as the audience.
Reviews
Bollywood Hungama’s Taran Adarsh gave the film 4 out of 5 stars, called the film an amazing blend of adrenaline pumping moments, emotions, and patriotism, Mrichi 9 gave 3.5/5 stars, and PTC Punjabi 5/5 stars. Critics praised the performances of the main leads NTR and Ram Charan, visual effects, Rajamouli’s films’ backbone ’emotions’, cinematography and the soul-stirring dialogues.
Screen Count
RRR with 10,200+ screens became one of the widest releases ever in Indian cinema before this Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 had a record of 8.5k to 9k screens.
RRR releases in 6400 theatres in India with most 1400+ in AP/TG area alone, Overseas it releases in 3800 screens.
Let, you know the film which is made with a budget over Rs 500crs is very near to fetch the break even point. It minted Rs 451 Cr against the break even point of Rs 453cr already.

And now it seems like Rajamouli’s almost 5yrs of wait is worth waiting as his film has broken the record of his last film Baahubali.
As we said earlier, RRR churned out Rs Rs 23.35 Cr share (Rs 35.80 Cr gross) from the Nizam area which is the highest ever in the area, it left behind Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak Rs 11.85 Cr, and Pushpa starring Allu Arjun’s Rs 11.44 Cr.
It amassed around Rs 17 Cr share (Rs 21 Cr gross) from the Ceded area, so the total Nizam+Ceded box office share of the opening day is Rs 40 Cr share (Rs 56.8 Cr gross)
The film had collected over Rs 70Cr share (Rs 105 Cr gross) from the AP/TG region. Now, the multi-starrer film RRR broke the record of Baahubali2, which had minted Rs 43 cr from there.

Box Office Collection Day 1
Talking about the Hindi belt, the film as expected, raked in Rs 19 Cr nett from the Hindi version & Rs 2.50 Cr nett from the Telugu version, thereby the day 1 Bo collection of RRR reaches Rs 25 Cr nett at the BO North, which is relatively low figures than Baahubali 2, which had raked in around Rs 41 Cr nett.
BO collections of RRR, are astonishing, Rajamouli directorial churned out the biggest ever opening BOC ever in Indian cinema (Rs 223 Cr). Rajamouli’s directorial broke another record, it minted the $3 million dollar mark from the premiers alone, which is the highest ever for an Indian film.
