Akshay Kumar’s film Prithviraj has been struggling to make its mark at the box office. The morning shows of the film are being cancelled owing to no ticket sales since Monday.
The film had a decent opening weekend of Rs 39.4 Cr but afterward, it showed a decline in the collections. It faces a major drop of 68.94% on the first Monday and collects only Rs 5 Cr.
Prithviraj Crosses Rs 50 Cr mark
It collected Rs 4.25 Cr and Rs 4 Cr on Tue and Wednesday respectively with a drop of over 10%, the film, however, manages to cross the Rs 50 Cr mark in 6 days.
BB2 which is a smaller film in terms of cost than Prithviraj had surpassed the Rs 50 Cr mark in its first weekend and has grossed Rs 200 Cr globally.

On the other Prithviraj which is made on a big scale budget, failed to charm the audience, and by the looks of it, will see the lifetime collection revolving around Rs 75 Cr nett.
Box Office Collection
As per the early reports, Prithviraj collected Rs 2.8 Cr on Day 7 the Total collection of Samrat Prithviraj now stands at Rs 55.05 Cr. The film has seen a downward trend since the first Monday. This very poor performance for such a high-budget film.
Movie critic and biz analyst Taran Adarsh showing concern wrote, ” The heavy budget, on one hand, the poor outcome on the other, has sent the shockwave within the industry”
