Touted-to-be a crime thriller inspired by some true events, Sector 26 is an upcoming Hindi film which is bankrolled by filmmaker Dinesh Vijan under his Maddock Films, the production house which backed acclaimed films such as Badlapur, Stree, Love Aaj Kal, Hindi Medium and many more.
Aditya Nimbalkar, who have worked as the assistant director in many films like Nishabd, Kaminey and Haider and was also one of the writers on Megha Gulzar’s acclaimed film Talvar, is making his directorial debut with this film while Bodhayan Roy chaudhury has penned the script of the film.
Sector 36 Star Cast
Based on the gruesome murders that took place in Nithari Village, Noida, Sector 36 is going to feature Industry’s one of the promising actors, Vikrant Massey in the lead role. He rose to fame for his role in popular web-series Mirzapur and received a lot of appreciation from fans. People have been loving to see him on screen and he has proved his acting skills in several films like Half Girlfriend, Chhapaak, Hassen Dilruba etc.
Along with Massey, the film also stars the talented Deepak Dobriyal, who is popularly known for his role as Parth Sharma a.k.a Pappi in Tanu Weds Manu film series. He also played crucial roles in Hindi Medium, Angreazi Medium, Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo etc. and got huge appreciation for his performance.
Dobriyal will be next seen in Janhvi Kapoor starrer Good Luck Jerry and Maddock Films’ upcoming horror comedy Bhediya along with Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon while Massey have psychological crime thriller “Forensic: The Truth Lies Within” in the pipeline, set to release June 24 on Zee5.
Sector 36 Announcement
The makers of the crime thriller announced the film today on June 13 with a video clip. The official twitter handle of production house Maddock Films shared the announcement video which uses the analogy of a cockroach that decided to stand up against the system. Have a look:

Release Date
Sector 36 went on floor today, June 13. It will be too early to talk about the film’s release date which is yet to be announced. We will update the information as soon as the makers of the film make some new announcements.
