Rahul Sankrityan 2018 superhit Telugu film Taxiwaala fame was back with his new supernatural thriller movie Shyam Singha Roy, which is based on reincarnation theme, starring natural star Nani, sports drama Jersey (2019) fame actor.

Rahul is the director of the film, and it is written by Janga Satyadev. Nani was seen doing a dual role in the project as Shyam Singha Roy and Vasu, it also features actresses trio from the south industry, Sai Pallavi, Krithi Shetty, & Madonna Sebastian, Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta is also cast in the film, Murali Sharma, Rahul Ravindran, & Abhinav Gomatam in a supporting role.
Earlier the film was to be produced by Jersey (2019) producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi but because of covid-19, he couldn’t owing to an increase in budget, further it is being said that the producer left the film due to differences of opinion with lead actor Nani, later it was decided that the production would be given to Venkat Boyanapalli, the film is made under his new production house Niharika Entertainment.
Earlier Telugu actress Rashmika Mandanna’s name was floating in the news report for the lead actress later the makers finalized Krithi Shetty in the lead role. Actress Madonna Sebastian also made her comeback in the Telugu industry after her 2016 Premam.
Shyam Singha Roy Release Dates
It was to release on Dec 2020 during Christmas but got indefinitely postponed owing to a surge in covid cases in India, makers later announced that the film will be released on 24 Dec 2021, in all four languages Telugu, including its dubbed versions Tamil, Kannada & Malayalam.
later releases on Netflix from 21st Jan 2022, and now all set for its first Television premiere on 3rd April, only on Gemni TV, and the timing is 6:00 PM.

The shooting was started in Dec 2020 and ended in July 2021, makers went through on & off production due to the covid pandemic, budget of the film would be around 35-40 crores.
The technical parts of the film done by Sanu John Varghese who is a cinematographer and Naveen Nooli is the editor, the music is given by Mickey J. Meyer.
