Sneakerella is an upcoming musical comedy film which is directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum, also known as Liz Allen. She is best known for directing the award-winning film Ramona and Beezus, starring Joey King, Selena Gomez, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Sandra Oh.
The film is a re-imagining of the classic fairy tale Cinderella written by Charles Perrault, an iconic French author of 17the century. The screenplay of the film is written by David Light along with Joseph Raso, Tamara Chestna, Mindy Stern and Geoge Gore II.
It is jointly bankrolled by Christopher Scott, Jane Startz and Rachel Watanabe-Batton under the banners of Disney Channels and Jane Startz Productions. Matt Sakatani Roe and Ishai Setton has taken care of cinematographic and editing work. The film’s soundtrack and the score is composed by Elvin Rose.

Sneakerella OTT Release Date
The release date of the movie was changed multiple times. Initially, this musical comedy-drama was scheduled to be held in 2021 but was delayed to February 18, 2022. Again it was delayed and now it has been confirmed by the makers that the film will be released on May 13, 2022 through digital streaming on Disney Plus.
Sneakerella Trailer Out
Disney Plus released the 2-minute long trailer of the film on April 8, 2022. The trailer follows El, who is working in his late mother’s shoe store and wants to become a professional sneaker designer, but there are many obstacles that come to his way such as his stepfather who doesn’t believe in his dreams and his stepbrothers who harass him because of his passion.
