Music is the crucial part of everyone’s life, especially in the culturally rich country like India, which comprises various cultures, dances, languages, songs.
Whether it is a child or youngsters, we are blessed with so much talent and to bring the talent from even a small village of the country, various entertainment channels organize various singing competitions and play key roles to introduce the talent to the world.
One of these singing competitions is Superstar Singer, a kid-based reality show that is aimed at kids between the ages of 7 and 15, will soon be back with its second season.
The debut season of Superstar Singer was a big hit and premiered from June 29th to October 6, 2019 on Sony Entertainment Channel. Priti Bhattacharjee from West Bengal, who was in Nitin Kumar’s team was the winner of the first season.
She won the Superstar Singer Trophy along with the Cash Prize of Rs. 15,00,000 while the top 6 contestants received an educational scholarship of Rs. 2 lakh each.
Superstar Singer 2 Host
The first season was hosted by Television’s popular personality Jay Bhanushali who in the past hosted many reality shows such as Dance India Dance Seasons, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, The Voice India Kids etc.
He also participated as a contestant in many reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2, Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, Bigg Boss 15 and won the season 5 of Nach Baliye 2 in 2012.
Now, the second season, hosting by popular host and singer Aditya Narayan. He in the past hosted many singing reality shows such as Indian Idol, Sa Re Ga Ma Li’l Champs, Rising Star 3 and participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 9, where he ended up being the runner up of the show.
Superstar Singer 2 Judges
Renowned Bollywood singers Himesh Reshammiya, Javed Ali and Alka Yagnik, who were the judges in the debut season, are back as judges again in second season of Superstar Singer.
Superstar Singer 2 Mentors/Captains
The winner of Indian Idol Season 12 and The Voice Season 1 Pawandeep Rajan along with Indian Idol 12 runner ups Arunita Kanjilal, Mohd. Danish, Sayli Kamble and Indian Idol 10 winner Salman Ali back as mentors of the participants in the show.
Salman Ali was seen as the mentor in the debut season also, along with Jyotica Tangri, Sachin Kumar Valmiki and Nitin Kumar.
Where and When to Watch?
The auditions of the second season began in January and were concluded in mid-February 2022, tv premiere from 23rd of April and now heading towards finale. Special episode of two combined shows Superstar Singer 2 and India’s Laughter Champion on Sony LIV at 7PM only on 23rd of July, Saturday.
