Inspired by a real-life event, The Dropout is an upcoming American television drama series. It is based on the podcast of the same name hosted by popular American Journalist Rebecca Jarvis and radio network ABC Audio.
The series will depict the life journey of Elizabeth Holmes who was once listed as the youngest and wealthiest self-made billionaire by the popular American business magazine Forbes.
Elizabeth Holmes is the former American biotechnology entrepreneur who was the CEO of founder of a once-popular health technology company Theranos which claimed that it devised blood tests that require a very small amount of blood and could be performed rapidly.
The company, after raising a massive amount of US$700 million from the investors and reaching a US$10 billion valuation, was accused of doing fraud and began to decline in 2015.
The founder and CEO Elizabeth Holmes was accused of deceiving investors by massive fraud through false and over-exaggerated claims about the accuracy of the company’s blood-testing technology.
The Dropout OTT Release Date
This highly anticipated drama series will be premiered on Thursday, March 3, 2022. It will be released on Hulu and Disney Plus in the United States of America and the United Kingdom respectively.
Out of 8 episodes first three titled-“I’m in a Hurry”, “Satori” and “Green Juice” will be premiered on the March 3 while the rest of 5 episodes titled- “Old White Man”, “Flower of Life”, “Iron Sisters”, “Heroes” and “Lizzy” will be released weekly (an episodes/week) on the given platforms.

Along with Amanda Seyfried who is playing Elizabeth, British actor Naveen Andrews will be featured as an American businessman and then-boyfriend of Elizabeth Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani, who was holding the position of the President and CEO of Theranos.
