Telugu star Akkineni Nagarjuna was recently seen in the visual spectacle Brahmastra which is doing well at the box office. His last Telugu outing, Bangarraju was released in Jan 2022 and was considered a box office success.
Now the actor is back again on the big screens with the action thriller, The Ghost. It is directed and written by Praveen Sattaru and bankrolled by Suniel Narang, Puskur Ram Mohan Rao and Sharrath Marar under the banner Sri Venkateswara Cinemas and North Star Entertainment.

As per the early trade estimations, The Ghost takes a very poor start at the box office. It recorded a below-par score at the BO WW, with only 4.6 crores coming in on its first day. From here, it will have to hold very strong in the coming days of the weekend. It looks like the clash with Chiranjeevi’s Godfather affected its business big time.
The Ghost had overall 37.49% Telugu occupancy on Wednesday, across all shows, morning, noon, evening and night.
The Ghost Screen Counts and BE Target
It has been released in 700 theatres worldwide of which 410+ theatres in AP-TG, followed by overseas 200 theatres and 90 theatres in the rest of India. The break-even target of The Ghost is 22 crores as the worldwide theatrical rights were sold at Rs 21.15 crores. The Telugu rights have been sold at Rs 16 crores.
Advance Bookings Report Day 1
The advance bookings of the film have been opened recently, it had sold over 73000 tickets worth Rs 1.22 Cr. It faced a clash with Chiranjeevi’s Godfather which had 6times more advances than The Ghost and opened to double digits at the box office.
