Ben Affleck and Matt Damon the hit duo have come again with their historical drama The Last Duel after 23 years. Their last creation Good Will Hunting (1993) was a blockbuster, made up of a mere 10 million dollar budget and grossed a whopping 226 million dollars at the box office worldwide.
The Last Duel is a historical drama based on true historical events, revolves around a girl who claims that she has been raped by her husband’s best friends, further in the film, her husband challenges his friend to fight with him.
It is bankrolled by Ridley Scott, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Kevin J. Walsh, Jennifer Fox, and Nicole Holofcener, made under the banner of Scott Free Productions, Pearl Street Films, and TSG Entertainment.

The distributors ‘20th Century Studios’ has launched a new trailer on 20 July 2021 on their official YouTube Channel. It has crossed 50 lakh plus views with 39k likes as of now. Viewers are appreciating these big-budget visuals and amazing star cast. Dariusz Wolski is the cinematographer in the movie.
Budget
Filming commenced of this big-budget movie in Feb 2020 in France and halted due to covid-19 in March 2020, it again resumed on Sept 2020 and wrapped up on 14 Oct 2020. The major part of the shooting was held in France as it is based on France’s history.
Seeing the shooting of the film held in many cities of France and Ireland with multi stars, The budget of the film would be around 100 million dollars approx, however, the makers didn’t announce the production cost yet.
Release Date
Initially, it was to release on 25th Dec 2020 but got delayed due to the covid-19 pandemic, later the release date of the film was rescheduled to Oct 2021. Its world premiere was held on 10 Sept 2021 at Venice Film Festival, where critics applauded the film.
Though this war drama is releasing in the U.S on 15 Oct 2021, it will be released on 22 Oct 2021 in Indian Cinemas.
