The most expensive Pakistani film to date, The Legend of Maula Jatt starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan is currently wreaking havoc at the box office in Pakistan. It was released on Oct 13 and opened to packed cinemas in Pakistan.
It is riding on a huge budget of 45-55 crores. It churned out 19 crores in its first three days at the box office, as per Pakistani portal geo.tv. And considering the response it is getting from the cinephiles, it could emerge as one of the highest-grossing Pakistani films of all time.
Critics and the audience are heaping praise on the film for the cinematography, visuals, story, and performance of the key characters.

Meanwhile, makers have announced that legal action will be taken against viewers who would post the clipping of the film on social media platforms. The report states that the film has been leaked on various torrent sites like Bolly4u, Netnaija, telegram, Vega Movies, Isaimini, MP4movies, Cool movie etc. Moreover, the news of the most expensive Pakistani film becoming the victim of piracy sites has made makers agitate. Reports also state that Maula Jatt is available to watch for free that too in HD versions.

Bilal Lashari directed The Legend of Maula Jatt is a remake of the 1979 cult classic Maula Jatt. It revolves around Maula Jatt (Portrayed by Fawad Khan), a local hero who takes on the leader of the brutal gang Noori Natt (portrayed by Hamza Ali Abbas). Raees fame Mahira Khan and Raja Natwarlal fame Humaima Malick are the main lead actress in the film. It is backed by Ammara Hikmar and Dr. Asad Jamil Khan under Encyclomedia Lashari Films.
