Dhanush’s latest flick “Thiruchitrambalam” is doing stupendously at the box office, especially in the home market, TN. It is the third outing of Dhanush this year and the first theatrical release after 2021 Karnan.
It was opened with rave reviews from the critics and took a very great start at the box office. In Tamil Nadu, it became the year’s 6th highest opening day grosser film. Directed and written by Mithran R Jawahar and backed by Kalanithi Maran under his own Sun Pictures.

Box Office Collection Day 8
Dhanush starrer had 14.65% occupancy on Wednesday, and as per the latest reports, it sees growth in collections, as during the morning and noon shows, it has shown growth on Thursday as compared to Wed.
It witnessed 9.30% occupancy during morning and 17.13% occupancy during evening shows on Thursday and the trend is likely to increase over evening and night shows. As per the industry tracker Manobala Vijayan, it sees another Rs 3.4 Cr coming in the cash registers on Day 8 taking the total Tamil Nadu collections to Rs 54.89 crores.
Crosses 50 Cr in Tamil Nadu
The film had grossed the 50 cr mark in its four-day extended weekend, globally. Now as per the latest trade reports, the film has crossed the 50 Cr mark in Tamil Nadu in its first week. Below, is the first-week TN box office report of Thiruchitrambalam:

Eying 100 Cr Globally
The upcoming weekend will give it the push to cross Rs 60 Cr, then the steady run in the coming days will set it to finish with Rs 70-75 Cr lifetime in TN. As per the trade reports, Thiruchitrambalam has grossed over 80 crores in its first week, the film is now eying to enter into a 100 crore club globally. It is expected to achieve the feat by its second Sunday.
