Amitabh Bachchan’s adventure drama, “Uunchai” has completed its 10-day run at the box office after a decent 2nd weekend. The film was released on Nov 11 on 480+ screens, domestically.
However, with positive word of mouth and an upward trend in collections, makers added another 92 cinemas in the second week as the demand increased. The family audience is driving its biz.
It was supposed to do more business but Ajay Devgn’s “Drishyam 2” which has taken the BO by storm has dampened its collections on the 2nd weekend. In fact, it is certain to affect its overall collection in the long run.

Biz Break Down of Uunchai
According to a report of Pinkvilla, Uunchai is made with a budget of 53 crores. The film has already recovered 70 Crs from nontheatrical rights like Satellite, OTT, and Music.
Hence, the film was in a profit of 17 Crs before hitting the screens. Now going by the performance of the movie it is expected to rake in around 20 crore distributor’s shares worldwide.
Rs 20 Cr is not a huge amount but will be considered a respectable amount given the family genre films didn’t find many takers post-pandemic. Therefore, Sr. Bachchan’s film Uunchai will eventually make a profit of around 37 Cr.
